✦ Synopsis

This paper describes a simple and cheap device for the electrophoretic elution of DNA from gel slices onto malachite green gel. Many different DNA fragments may be eluted at the same time. DNA losses are very low. The construction of the elution device takes less than 30 min in any ordinary workshop.
