In this paper, using the existence of special exhaustions that satisfy the complex homogeneous Monge-Ampère equation and curvature properties are given characterizations of the affine hyperquadric and other special Stein manifolds.

We show that every upper semicontinuous and equi-affine invariant valuation on the space of d-dimensional convex bodies is a linear combination of affine surface area, volume, and the Euler characteristic.

We give a characterization of all (quasi)affine frames in L 2 (R n ) which have a (quasi)affine dual in terms of the two simple equations in the Fourier transform domain. In particular, if the dual frame is the same as the original system, i.e., it is a tight frame, we obtain the well-known characte
