โฆ Synopsis
A Chance to Reflect
Any trip to a bookstore will reveal that knowledge management and process management are no longer as fashionable as they were a year ago. The positive aspect of this is that many researchers are now reflecting on these two areas with more concern and depth. There are no more 'quick hits' with respect to developing research and knowledge in these areas. In the present issue of the journal we have been able to gather papers that cover a wide range of applications of the concepts of knowledge management ranging from the Biotechnology industry to New York taxi cabs! These papers reflect the outcome of detailed, thoughtful longerterm studies of knowledge management. In upcoming issues we will present similar work in the area of process management.
I am also delighted to include an extended book review of the Future of Knowledge: Increasing Prosperity Through Value Networks by Verna Allee in this issue. I have a variety of book reviews in progress that will appear in upcoming issues.
