Abstract

We report a case of successful transfemoral retrieval of a dislodged and mechanically distorted coronary stent from the right coronary artery in a middle age woman. The distorted stent was recovered via upsizing of her femoral arterial sheath and the use of a microsnare. The procedure was further complicated by significant right common femoral artery dissection, which was treated with percutaneous transluminal angioplasty from her contralateral femoral artery. The patient recovered well and was discharged the following day. © 2009 Wiley‐Liss, Inc.
