β¦ Synopsis
We deal in this paper with complex three-dimensional scenes, partitioned into several objects of any shape, and with varying local dimensions. We propose a consistent topological modeling of such scenes, based on a cellular model. We introduce a de"nition of simple elements for any adjacency graph-based geometrical structure. Then we prove a local characterization of simple cells of a cellular model, in the case of two objects, and of any number of objects. This characterization allows to de"ne homotopic deformations of a complex scene.

## Abstract Multiβobjective optimization of a venturi scrubber was carried out using a threeβdimensional model for collection efficiency and nonβdominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA). Two objective functions, namely (a) maximization of the overall collection efficiency, and (b) minimization of
This paper presents a multi-dimensional thermomechanical constitutive model for shape memory alloys (SMAs). This constitutive relation is based upon a combination of both micromechanics and macromechanics. The martensite fraction is introduced as a variable in this model to reflect the martensitic t
A three-dimensional multi-level turbulence model is developed to simulate tide induced circulation in coastal waters. Based on the bathymetry data, the coastal waters are divided into a number of layers. In every layer, the velocities are integrated along the layer depth. The eddy viscosity and diff
Emerging data management needs of road administrations stress the need for data integration, when various isolated systems are updated and maintained in parallel. Since road objects can be static or dynamic, referenced to one, two, three or four dimensions, the traditional 2-D road data models are i
