β¦ Synopsis
Systems Inc, a supplier of design capture and verification software, has formed a UK company, CAE Systems Ltd. The new company is to expand sales and support existing customers in the UK. CAE Systems also announced that it is to be acquired by Tektronix. The merger will give CAE Systems the security of Tektronix's long standing in the market, while Tektronix gains an opening into the area of integrated CAE test and measurement systems. CAE Systems offers software aimed at the electronic engineer which can support the entire design cycle from schematic capture to layout. The CAE 2000 WorkSystem allows team engineering by its common distributed, hierarch,ica|~ database, i.t also offers interfaces to other design tools such as HILO-2, SPICE and SCICARDS. The software will currently run on Apollo, Sun and DEC's VAX equipment. It will soon be available on the Tektronix 6000 series.
