β¦ Synopsis
NUMEROUS cases of single mesenteric cyst have been recorded, but we have only been able to find 7 published cases of multiple mesenteric cysts i n the literature of the last five years. The following case was therefore thought to be worthy of presentation. FIG. 7Ss.--Plain radiograph (erect) of the abdomen on admission, showing a few fluid levels in the small intestine, gas shadows in the colon (but not the rectum), and an absence of shadows in the right lower quadrant.
T h e additional interest of this case lies in the fact that the child was referred with a n acute abdominal disorder, i.e., pain, distension, and rigidity, simulating acute peritonitis.
