## Abstract Retroperitoneal leiomyosarcomas are rare and show a tendency toward large size, cystic degeneration, bleeding, and extensions by infiltration to the adjacent structures. An unusual case of a retroperitoneal cystic leiomyosarcoma with massive intraabdominal bleeding is presented.
