✦ Synopsis

A 16-month-old male infant with an atypical cleft palate is presented. He had an incomplete cleft palate, on the left side, the soft palate was shorter than the right. In addition it was swollen. Preoperative examination revealed muscular dysgenesis and mucosal hyperplasia on the left side. An intravelar veloplasty and V-Y pushback procedure was performed with a satisfactory result.
