โฆ Synopsis
The year is 2086. It's been sixty-three years since a solar flare forever changed life on earth, forcing humans to adapt to a more primitive way of life. Now, in the small Texas community of Back Wood, Fawn McCord and her siblings, the grandchildren of Tom and Emma McCord, face another threat -- the New World Army.
These soldiers claim they've come to restore electricity to the entire state of Texas, but even as her siblings and the other residents of Back Wood welcome the new group, Fawn remains suspicious.
The longer the NWA stays, the more controlling it becomes, claiming that it's all for the protection of the people. As Fawn's distrust grows, so does the certainty that she will do anything to preserve her family's way of life and their Native American roots. Even kill for it.
In this sequel to The Leftovers of a Life, Fawn continues the McCord saga. Along with Juniper, her trusted brown mare, she braves the dangers outside Back Wood's walls to find a way to defeat the invaders, but nothing can prepare her for the oddities she will encounter in the woods -- or the love she will find along the way.
A Broken Time is a tale of loss, forgiveness, and one woman's determination to preserve her way of life by refusing to conform to those who seek to destroy it.
