METHOD AND RESULTS
All patients who had received both the OLT and WAIS during the inclusive period of 1960-1966 at the Durham VA Hospital were included in the study. Data relative to the patient's age, school grade achieved, OLT score and WAIS scores (Verbal I&, Performance I& and Full Scale I&) were tabulated and Pearson productmoment correlations and multiple regression analysis performed.
The total number of Ss in this study was 493. Their ages ranged from 19-73 years (M = 40.1, SD = 9.5). Grades achieved in school ranged from none to 20 years (M = 9.6, SD = 3.3). OLT scores ranged from 1-49 (M = 29.3, SD = 9.0).
