โฆ Synopsis
An operation is described for the removal of spermatocoele or epididymal cyst. The procedure takes advantage of the fact that there is an avascular plane between the wall of the cyst and the surrounding scrotal tissue. It is claimed that the procedure is entirely bloodless and without the risk of haematoma.
A SMALL symptomless spermatocoele or cyst of the epididymis is best left untreated provided that there is no doubt about the diagnosis. These cysts may become embarrassingly large, when they need to be removed. The operation for hydrocoele (Lord, 1964) cannot be applied to these cysts: another equally bloodless procedure is therefore described.
