โฆ Synopsis
A computing
system capable of simulating the behavior of metabolic pathways is presented. The system employs
(1) a powerful, biochemical language to formulate the model, (2) a conventional numerical technique to solve the rate equations, and (3) an interactive graphic capability to aid in analyzing and modifying the model. Application of the system to the field of purine metabolism has begun.
