Abstract
Magnetic states of an alloy with competing nearest‐neighbour exchange interactions, I~AA~ > 0, I~AB~ > 0, I~BB~ < 0, in which the magnetic moments depend on their local chemical environment in a step‐like manner (according to the Jaccarino‐Walker model), are studied in the vicinity of the transition temperatures from the paramagnetic states. It is shown that in the cases of s.c. and b.c.c. lattices the existence of the magnetic moment dependence on the local environment does not create any additional possibilities for the occurrence of the spin‐glass state in such alloys as compared to usual Heisenberg alloys with nearest‐neighbour competing exchange interactions of permanent magnetic moments.
