Buchbesprechungen collaborators confirmed experimentally an excited nuclear state of carbon-12 a t 7.68 MeV and the door to synthesize elements beyond helium was opened. Then, in 1950 the fundamental paper of HANS E. Suess and HAROLD C. UREY onelcment abundances based on experimental data from meteorites, the Earth, the Sun and other stars appeared.
