✦ Synopsis

Abstract

^13^C‐ and ^195^Pt‐NMR. spectra for the complexes trans‐PtCl~2~(amine)(CH~2~ο£ΎCH~2~) have been measured. For amine = (S)‐N‐methyl‐α‐methylbenzylamine the two diastereomers present may be distinguished from the values ^3^J(Pt,C). The ^195^Pt‐chemical shift is shown to be sensitive to subtle differences stemming from intramolecular non‐bonded interactions.

## Abstract The values ^n^__J__ (^195^Pt, ^14^N) are shown to be measurable directly from the ^195^Pt spectrum for a variety of complexes containing nitrogen ligands. The sample temperature can play an important role in determining the width of the ^195^Pt signal. ^195^Pt chemical shifts for the co

The reactions of SnC1, with the complexes cis-PtC1,P2, P = trialkyl and triaryl phosphines and phosphites, in CDC1, and CD2C12 have been studied using 31P and 195Pt NMR. methods. For equimolar amounts of Sn and Pt, products of the type PtCl(SnC13)P2 are formed with the complex geometry depending on
