Conductive carbon-ceramic composites have been prepared from coal tar pitch and a ceramic already molded as a monolith having a honeycomb structure. The material has been obtained by subjecting both components to a heat treatment in N, to a maximum temperature of either 1073 K or 1273 K. The startin

13 Space hearing and cooling evaporation of highly dispersed water enables the realization of this advanced recleaning procedure. Most importantly though, designs from this new recleaning concept filters become attractive offering much higher specific filtration area than the candle. 99to1545
Phase diagrams and thermodynamic properties of zirconia based ceramics
Yokokawa, H. Key Eng. Mater., 1998, 153-154, 37-13. In this paper, the thermodynamic properties of ZrOz-based ceramics are discussed in terms of the valence stability of binary oxides and the stabilization energy/interaction parameter in ternary or higher-order systems. The stabilization energy and the interaction parameters were correlated with the ionic size of the involved ions. They were numerically expressed in the chemical potential diagrams. The chemical reactivity of the oxides was explained in terms of the physicochemical properties of the constituent ions in the oxides. This approach was compared to the acid-base theory. Analyses were made as examples for reactions of stabilized ZrOz with perovskite electrodes in solid oxide fuel cells, with VzOs in the combustion gas, with silica-based glasses and with molten
