✦ Synopsis

In the world mineral industry, the Jameson cell is now being widely adopted. In Australia, there are six full-scale installations operating for coal preparation alone, with additional installations in progress. Flotation feed rates in these plants range up to 350 ton/h of less than 1 mm material, with the largest installation employing eight off 5 m diameter cells in a two-stage, in-series configuration.

This paper provides details of the full-scale operations including the comparison of pilot-scale test data and full-scale performance.

The paper also presents scale-up aspects and size-recovery data.
