โœฆ Synopsis

control technology. A novel approach of utilizing biomass as a means of NO, control in the EER's Advanced Reburning (AR) technologies has been developed. EER is developing novel concepts to improve the basic reburning process to NO, control over 90%. The AR process, a synergistic combination of basic reburning and nitrogen-agent injection, achieved 85% NO reduction in pilot-scale experiments. Further improvements incorporate addition of alkali additives, enhancing the NO, control from nitrogenagent injection and injection of the nitrogen-agent in the reburning zone. This work-in-progress paper describes the concept of using biomass as the reburning fuel in the AR technologies.

## Gaseous fuels (derived gaseous fuels) balance. Thus, during the past 20 years, natural gas recorded the highest growth rate among fossil fuels, and its share in the energy market has gradually risen from 18.9% in 1975 to 23.1% in 1995. 98iO3730 Transformations in the world gas industry
