✦ Synopsis

03 Gaseous fuels (derived gaseous fuels) particulate content in the gas for engine application. For a breakthrough in the market, a gasifier plant has not only to be technically reliable, but produce heat and power at a commercially attractive price. With the current fossil fuel prices, fixed bed gasification systems for electricity production can only become commercially attractive with substantial public funding or the introduction of a CO2 tax.

The paper studies the electrochemical methane conversion in a cell with the solid oxygen-conducting electrolyte. The platinum electrode is an active electrode/catalyst for partial methane oxidation to syngas with the ratio I&l/lCOl = 2. New possibilities and advantages of the electrochemical route
