✦ Synopsis

Combining the single particle model and the group model, an unsteady model for the ignition of pulverized coal in a boiler was proposed, based on the assumption of limited air space. The ignition of pulverized coal in different concentrations was computed. The model is able predict the mechanism, the temperature and the time of the ignition process. 98102588 Greening, L.
