Suitable for GC/MS analysis, a miniature pyrolysis reactor was designed to study slow pyrolysis processes of coal and biomass regarding formation of organic pollutants. The solid fuels bituminous coal, sawdust from spruce, and chips from eucalyptus were investigated. The approach can be used for sel

โฆ Synopsis
Bench-scale air lift-internal-loop reactor (AILR) results indicate that AILR was superior to the activated sludge process for the treatment of cokechemical wastewater. AILR had a high COD removed rate of 7 kg/day m3, while COD loading rate was 13 kg/day m3. AILR was adaptable for high loading of phenol and cyanide and had high removal percentage for them. The COD removal rate was 54.5-76% in AILR, while the phenol removal percentage was 99.5-99.8% and cyanides 99.2-95%. The air consumption in AILR was about 21 m"/(kg COD removed), which was l/3-1/4 of that in an activated sludge process.
