✦ Synopsis
In a medium of (near) supercritical water, plastic wastes are decomposed, using a tube-type continuous reactor, to give oils. For the wastes containing Cl-type plastics, the wastes are heated to decompose a part or all of the CItype plastics and separate the resultant HCI. The resulting wastes are then separated and the above waters are mixed to carry out the above reaction. The HCI removal system is placed before the stage of the reaction in the water. The use of the tubular reactor enables efficient treatment of a large amount of the plastic wastes for recycling and the HCI removal prevents corrosion of apparatus and gives high yields of Cl-free fuel oils.
