✦ Synopsis

Efficient petroleum-adsorbing materials can be fabricated with the method developed. It consists of bloated perlite modified by organosilicones, the surface-porous adsorbent based on this bloated perlite, and coal-mineral adsorbent. These materials are shown to be promising with respect to their application to remove floating and emulsified oil and traces of petroleum products dissolved in water.
