โœฆ Synopsis


In order to get detailed information of the noise generation from a pulsatile jet, the flow field downstream of the pipe end was numerically simulated. A shock wave is discharged and subsequently, a vortex ring and an underexpanded jet form and diffuse. The results obtained by calculation are compared with those by experiment, and good agreement was found. The relation between the noise generation and the behaviour of the vortex ring and underexpanded jet are also discussed.
