An introduction is given into the Bergbau-Forschung process for simultaneous SO2 and NO x removal. Mechanisms and kinetics of SO2 adsorption and NO x reduction on active coke are discussed. A comparison is presented of pilot plant results with model calculations. Applications of the active coke proc

β¦ Synopsis
Environment (pollution, health protection, safety) content was used. Up to IXX persons including children, in Bazhi and 752 in Xinzhai were examined for the presence of chronic arsenism, skeletal fluorosis, dental fluorosis. and EGG abnormalities. The paper suggests arsenic may act synergistically with fluoride so that a lower level of fluoride may produce fluoride toxicity with dental and skeletal fluorosis. 97ta3304 Pollutant emissions from fossil fuel use in Kuala Lumpur and environmental damage Lodhi, M. The pollutants observed in the Klang Valley, Malaysia, include the oxides of nitrogen (NO,), ozone (01), sulphur dioxide (SOz), carbon monoxide (CO) and suspended particulate matter (SPM). There is a clear indication that the levels of NO,, Ox and SO: showed a general increase through the years. However, there is no significant change in the levels of SPM and CO. The levels of all these air pollutants are, in general, below the acceptable limits set by the World Health Organization (WHO); however, they showed an increasing trend which is a cause for concern when environmental damage is estimated.

The effect of iridium dispersion on the activity of Ir/SiO 2 for the selective reduction of NO with CO in the presence of O 2 and SO 2 has been investigated. The intrinsic activity, expressed in terms of turnover frequency (TOF), increases with decreasing iridium dispersion, indicating that NO reduc
