โฆ Synopsis
The preparation of Sialon by carbothermal reduction method by the use of fly ash is believed to be suitable. This is because the total amount of SiOZ and AI203 is above 80% and the unburned residual carbon is above 5% within the fly ash. The effects of reaction temperature, reaction time, and the amount of carbon addition on the P-Sialon synthesis were observed.
