โœฆ Synopsis

Khim. Tverd. Top/., 1996, (5)

, 3-13. (In Russian) Eight coal samples from seven coal seams of the Kuznetsk Basin were studied to determine their X-ray phase. It was found that with coal rank the concentration of graphite-like phase increased with a decrease in the content of polynaphthenic components.

Coals of the same rank had a higher graphitization degree for the dull type samples. Analogous changes during heating of the coals at 300-6007ยฐC and during thermal processing of mixtures (1:l) of coal with a petroleum product were observed.

The thermodynamic equilibrium constants for the reduction of oxygen and sulphur functional groups in hydrogen and in tetralin were calculated for the temperature range 327-527ยฐC. All the reduction reactions of the oxygen groups are thermodynamically favourable both with hydrogen and with tetralin.
