โฆ Synopsis
Removal of particulate material by ceramic candle filters
Aroussi, A. et al. IMechE Semin. 1996
, (3, Energy for the 21st Century), 193-204. The use of ceramic candle filters for the filtration of hot combustion gases is investigated. The focus lies on the deposition patterns of the particulate material, as a function of the local flow conditions. This contributes to the understanding of the filter cake formation and ultimately to the development of an efficient cleaning mechanism. The work presented is based on an experimental study using a non-intrusive optical anemometer and a computational study using CFD.
