(In Chinese) An efficient method for the preparafion of clean coal is the removal of mineral matter and sulfur from coal by NaOH/HCI treatment. More than 90% mineral matter and 60% sulfur can be removed by this treatment at 170-3OO~C'. S-10 wt.% NaOH. and reaction time l-2 h. The ash content of this chemically cleaned coal is about 0.04-0.Y wt.%, for selected coals.
