โฆ Synopsis
Experiment and analysis of desulfurization of coal in reduction state during combustion
Lan, G. et al. Liusuan Gangye, 1996, (2), 26-31. (In Chinese)
. Presents a study into the desulfurization of coal in the reduced state during fuel-rich combustion with limestone. The study was made by thermogravimetty of the calcification, sulfurization, and oxidation processes. The effect of temperature, concentration, and reaction time on sulfur fixation was discussed and the related kinetic equations were derived. Electron micrographs of the absorbent revealed that pore blockage was reduced and the utilization of calcium was increased in desulfurization in the reduced state compared with desulfurization in the oxidized state.

cement. An off-line instrument that detects carbon in fly ash via the photoacoustic effect has been developed. This instrument has been used to measure fly ash carbon concentrations from less than 0.1% to nearly 7% by mass. The applicability of a theoretic model to the empirical results is discussed
