Presents some results from research in coalbed methane resources, carried out by the Geological Survey of Canada, including calculation of gas capacity curves, coal charcterization, coal seam micropermeability, and a three-dimensional computer modelling of the Medicine River Coal Zone in a 45 X 50 km area of central Alberta.
