## Abstract Two biological approaches have been investigated for specific modifications of steroids. The first one uses the purified enzyme for the specific dehydrogenation of androsterone to androstanedione. The enzyme used is 3α‐hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase which requires a cofactor (NAD). A cofa
