In the title compound, C 23 H 26 BCl 2 F 2 N 3 , the three borondipyrromethene (BODIPY) fused heterocyclic rings are almost planar [r.m.s. deviation = 0.024 (9) A ˚]. The dihedral angle between the planes of the benzene ring and the BODIPY fused-ring fragment is 74.9 (8) . The sp 3 -hybridized B cen
