โœฆ Synopsis

The title compound, C 12 H 6 F 6 N 2 O 3 , belongs to a class of mesoionic compounds. The crystal packing exhibits a short intermolecular N(heterobicycle)ร ร รO(N-trifluoroacetyl) contact of 2.8689 (11) A หš, which indicates that the principal location of the negative charge is near the chain C and O atoms of the N-trifluoroacetyl group. The F atoms of one trifluoromethyl group are disordered over two positions, the site occupancy ratio being ca 3:2.
