✦ Synopsis
Hydrothermal reaction of m-phenylenediamine and carbon disulfide in the molar ratio 1:2 produces the title compound, C 14 H 12 N 4 S 2 . X-ray crystal structure determination shows that the compound is chiral by virtue of restricted rotation and crystallizes in a non-centrosymmetric but achiral space group, giving a racemic structure.

The title compound, C 24 H 25 ClN 4 O 4 , was obtained from the reaction of methyl 2-{[3-(2-bromophenyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazol-5yl]methoxy}phenylacetate with N,N-dimethylformamide dimethyl acetal. The molecules interact through weak C-HÁ Á ÁO intermolecular hydrogen bonds to form a zigzag chain parallel t
