✦ Synopsis

The response to treatment was about 20% higher in the clinical trial group. The 20% difference between the outcomes in the prospective and retrospective studies recorded in the response to treatment was similar in the 1, 2, and 3 years local controi observations.

Monte Carlo calculations of the rate of absorbed energy from a photon beam were carried out to compare the response of commercial plastic scintillators with that of air in the energy region below I MeV. We have found that for photon energies above 100 keV, the response of different kinds of plastics
