In the title compound, C 17 H 12 F 2 N 4 S, the six-membered thiadiazine ring is distorted from planarity and may be regarded as having a half-chair conformation, with an r.m.s deviation of 0.221 A ˚. The delocalized triazole ring has normal bond lengths.

The title compound, C 16 H 9 ClF 2 N 4 S, was prepared by the reaction of 4-amino-5-mercapto-3-chlorophenyl-1,2,4-triazole and 2-bromo-2 0 ,4 0 -fluoroacetophenone. The six-membered thiadiazine ring is distorted from planarity, with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.201 A ˚. All C and N atoms of the triazole
