✦ Synopsis
The behaviour of a fluldised bed electrochemical reactor extracting Cu from a recirculating batch of electrolyte is described. In particular, the measurement of Cu++ concentration and current over long time periods is reported under conditions of potentiostatic control. Current efflclency measurements are also made, and comparison of system behavzour with theoretical predictions based on a plug flow reactor/stirred tank reservoir model is made.
