## Abstract **Biomimetic tandem protein/lipid damage**: The reactions of reductive reactive species, produced by γ irradiation of water, with Zn and Cd complexes of a metallothionein from a plant afford diffusible sulfur‐centred radicals generated from methionine residues and sulfide ligands. These
