✦ Synopsis

This work gives an account of the development from a fundamental study in electrochemlcal klnetlcs, of an organic-synthesis reactor with a mercury cathode. The electrochemical system involves the electrosynthesls of hexaorganodlstannanes R3SnSnR3 by reduction of trlorganotln chlorides R3SnCl In methanol. The experimental technique employed permits continuous electropreparatlon and separation of these dlstannanes. The production capacity of the apparatus 1s about 1 kg/day.
