β¦ Synopsis
Preparation of a series of substituted 4-thiazolylmethoxyureas and 4-thiazolylmethoxythioureas is described. These compounds, which are structurally related to the antitumor agent hydroxyurea, were essentially inactive when screened against the L-1210 lymphoid leukemia test system. One compound, 4thiazolylmethoxyurea, showed moderate anti-inflammatory activity in the carrageenin-induced rat paw edema test.
