Abstract

Durch Einwirkung von Quecksilber(II)‐acetat auf α‐Ionon bei 140–160° entsteht 4‐Acetoxy‐β‐ionon (II). Diese Tatsache zeigt, dass die von W. Treibs entdeckte Reaktion der Einwirkung von Quecksilber‐(II)‐acetat auf ungesättigte Kohlenwasserstoffe mit Äthylenbindung in der Weise vor sich geht, dass Quecksilberacetat zunächst an die olefinische Bindung angelagert wird, worauf sich Quecksilber und Essigsäure abspalten.
