✦ Synopsis
The title compound, C 7 H 3 ClN 2 O 6 , crystallizes with two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. Strong intermolecular O-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds link the molecules into centrosymmetric dimers. The crystal packing is further stabilized by weak intermolecular C-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds. organic papers o1744 Aziz-ur-Rehman et al. C 7 H 3 ClN 2 O 6

The geometry around the Sn atom of the title compound, [Sn(C~6~H~5~)~3~(C~7~H~2~ClN~2~O~6~)], is distorted tetrahedral, with Sn—C distances lying in the range 2.124 (2)–2.119 (2) Å and an Sn—O distance of 2.0645 (15) Å.
In the title compound, C 7 H 4 ClNO 4 , the molecules form centrosymmetric dimers through OÐHÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds. The dimers are connected by CÐHÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds to form molecular tapes. Disorder of the H atom in the OÐ HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bond is suggested.
