✦ Synopsis

In the structure of the title compound, C 16 H 18 N 2 O 4 , intermolecular N-HÁ Á ÁO [NÁ Á ÁO = 2.866 (3) A ˚] and O-HÁ Á ÁO [OÁ Á ÁO = 2.611 (3) A ˚] hydrogen bonds link molecules into a two-dimensional framework. The crystal structure is further stabilized by weak intermolecular C-HÁ Á ÁO interactions.

The title compound, C 17 H 29 NO 6 , crystallizes with two molecules in the asymmetric unit. The independent molecules differ in the conformation of the side chain attached to nitrogen. The piperidine ring adopts a chair conformation, with the 1,3-dioxolane ring occupying an axial position.
