✦ Synopsis

In the title compound, C 17 H 12 N 2 O, the phthalonitrile group is coplanar with the three-atom bridge linking the phthalonitrile group with the indanyloxy group. The ®ve-membered ring of the indanyloxy moiety adopts an envelope conformation. The crystal structure of the title compound is stabilized by two CÐ HÁ Á Á% interactions and van der Waals interactions.
