✦ Synopsis

Single crystals of senecio lactone, C 8 H 8 O 4 , isolated from Senecio scandens Buch-Ham, were obtained from an acetone solution. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked to each other by intermolecular O-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds involving a ketone group and the hydroxyl group.
