β¦ Synopsis
c h has published a theory which shows that the helium II film creeping out of a vessel should be thinner by a few per cent than the stationary film under the same conditions. The early observations of J a cks o n and H e n s haw were not sufficiently precise to detect such a change. They have now been repeated with improved technique and the expected decrease in thickness has been observed.
