✦ Synopsis

The phenyl and dichlorophenyl rings of the title molecule, C 21 H 13 Cl 2 NO, are oriented at angles of 39.3 (1) and 77.8 (1) , respectively, with respect to the central indoline ring. The crystal structure is stabilized by van der Waals interactions.

In the title compound, C~27~H~25~NO, all three rings in the azabicyclo[2.2.2]octane unit adopt a boat conformation. An intermolecular C—H...O interaction forms a characteristic __R__ ~2~ ^2^(14) motif dimer in the crystal packing.
