✦ Synopsis

The purpose of the conference is to promote further international co-operation among scientists and engineers from different disciplines involved in the study of the assessment and control of localized damage. The overall objective is to produce an integrated approach to the problem of fracture,fufigue and sufi design with emphasis placed on the application of advanced theories. The conference will discuss papers on any of the topics listed below, or others related to the theme of the meeting. The participants are encouraged to review critically existing ideas and to explore new research ideas for a wide range of applications, including dynamic and static loadings, prob~i~~fic as well as dererministic and applications in design.

Papers are invited on the topics outlined below and other topics which will fit within the general scope of the Conference.
